wellcraft Scarab 26CV 1990

Boat was imported to spain in 1993, in 1994/5 the boat was impounded by the guardia and has been in dry storage till Dec 2018. bought the boat in 2013 and had all the work carried out in southern spain years ago. Which included refresh of the engine, leg, electrical and maintence. then proceeded to bring the boat back to UK in Dec 2018.

Hull:
The hull is legendary, This is an original Larry Smith design and the first hull was pulled in 1985 for Tom Gentry. They are very rare. After 1990, the hull was reconfigured with steps and used in F1 racing. With traditional 24 degree hull, straight with no steps, and narrow strakes at the keel creating delta pad; the hull is renowned as it won many races in the 90s. Many who ran the hull say the original Larry Smith non-stepped hull was better all around, and amazing in the rough stuff. The hull is dry, haven't had moisture reading but please note the boat is 1990 and all original (never had any gelcoat repairs etc) all colours original and in great shape.

Engine:
Mercruiser 7.4L 454 Mag bigblock V8. Was refreshed with new gaskets, all service items and has only done hours since. Pick up pump, circulation pump, spark plugs, belts, etc were all new. Extras include, Stainless Marine Headers and Risers. Edelbrock intake, Holly Carb, high lift cam. Runs great and starts instantly, (see youtube vid) never got to get the engine on dyno to see how much HP its kicking out. but with the modifications wouldn't expect massive difference from standard.
Interior:
All orginal and standard. Nothing has been replaced or repaired. would give it 8/10 the carpet is showing its age in the wear areas.

electrical:
Fans, shower, Nav lights, inteior lights, Underwater lights, drive cooler, Twin batteries, New FUSION sound system fitted 2018.


Boat drives very well and handles big chop with ease!! very fun boat to ride in!
now the boat is on trailer, but the trailer is too short for the boat but will tow fine due to the boat being so light. 
I'm open to sensible offers, but is priced to sell!
