16' Carvel planked, baton seamed Hawkesbury fishing dory. Built in the Fischer style with wide beam, full length keel and bow with Samson post. Was fibreglass sheathed in te 1980's with generous amounts used so she is strong and watertight.


I bought the litte Putt Putt in 2006 and had her moored in middle harbour, then took her up to Wallis Lake (Forster) where she was our little picnic and fishing tender. In 2018 she returned to Sydney for planned refit, the Yanmar QM15 was removed and appraised by Minnards Diesel as not worth the cost of an overhaul

(low compression on one cylinder)


I have since had the engine beds reset with brass through the hull and the bow re glassed ($2500.00) so the hull is now stronger, and the only worn area from years of beaching on the sand) has been repaired ready for final profile, prep and topcoat.


"Poppet" is beautiful little putter with the charm of bygone era in her tiller steering, classic lines and traditional design. Drop in used saildrive with gearbox, new motor or even mount stroke outboard and little work to put in floor and add few seats and she's ready to go.


Putt Putts are low cost boating, Poppet comes with custom made galvanised trailer allowing full mobility and $0.00 mooring fees, take her to Pittwater, or Jindabyne. Includer are also stainless bimini frame, mast, boom, tiller, fuel tank, wiring loom, Yanmar panel.


Great little project, can recommend fair priced tradies to finish the job. Summer 2020/21 social distancing sorted, go boating, picnic on the water, swim and enjoy the Putt Putt boating experience.
