For sale is my 18ft Seafarer 18 fishing/day boat – (actualmodel believed to be ‘Seafarer 535 Pilot Boat’) -         Build date believed to be 1980.-         Length: 18ft/5.79m-         Width: 6ft/1.83m-         Draft: 1ft/0.3m The boat would benefit from bit of love and attention butis ready to use right now as is. Inboard Petter mini twin 14hp diesel engine (model AC2W) –electric start, or comes with crank handle for emergencies.  Engine is very frugal and uses around litreof fuel per hour. have copies of the engine user/operation manual and servicemanual on PDF that will supply to the new owner.Boat has rod holders, auxiliary bracket, boarding ladder, manual bilge pump, anchor and chain. Previous owner had new fore hatch madeto replace the previous wooden one. There are navigation lights fitted but they need rewiring,as does the roof light and horn. The electrics are powered by twin batteriesvia proper changeover switch. The batteries are charged by the alternator onthe engine when it is running. The boat could do with good clean and the hull wants apressure wash to get the weeds off. Deck and upper hull wise, there are fewplaces where the paint is getting thin and could do with another coat at somestage.Accomodation wise, there are two berths in the cabin whichare roomy enough to sleep on.I bought the boat last summer to do bit of fishing, and Imotored her without any problem from her previous mooring in the Ashlet Creek(Fawley/Southampton Water area) back to my home mooring in Christchurch (sixhour journey). Because work away, have hardly used her since and willhave little chance to do so any time soon, so would prefer she goes tosomeone who will take her out! Boat is currently in the water nearChristchurch.Hopefully the photos show her in her full glory but cantake more photos and send if required. also have video of the enginerunning can send to anyone interested. Second to last photo shows the onlyfault am aware of – the plywood door to the rear fuel tank location haswarped bit in one corner(previous owner left it open in the sun!) – either needsreplacing (using original as template) or the existing fixed (think it mightbe able to be ‘steamed’ flat in suitable press. Still closes and securesusing one latch rather than the two it has. The little wooden ladder shown inthe photos is not included in the sale. The metal boarding ladder at the backis included.Final photo is reference photo which shows the undersideof the hull of dark blue version of this model boat (not my actual boat which is greenand white!) – photo is of another one that saw for sale last year at £3,000) –this to show the underside and the bilge keels design.I do have canvas cover which you can see in some of the pictures. Currentlyoff the boat as it needs new plastic windows in the side panels and the rearneeds the hem doing. Your welcome to have it, it works fine particularly inkeeping the rain water out in winter. Happy to take interested parties out on test run. Boat is moored inTuckton – nearest train station Christchurch (I can collect you) or coachstation (Bournemouth).  Depending on intentions of new owner:-         boatcould be motored back to new home by new owner (within reason of course – broughther back from Fawley on hour trip), -         orthere are some slipways quite close by where boat could be brought up onto atrailer (Note: the boat did not comewith trailer when bought it, so is sold without one). -         or, ifnew owner is local, there is possibility the existing mooring could be takenover by new owner but would have to confirm first with local authority(current mooring fee is £850pa) -         I can helporganise delivery (at buyers cost) – there are couple of local boattransporters around here could get quotes from. Any questions, please ask and I’lldo my best to answer.
