Princess 32 cruiser The Princess 32 Named 'Still Searching' is GRP Boat. Approximate year of manufacture is 1979. Built like tank with extremely thick GRP, having bonded-in frames and lockers to make really strong construction, this boat is perfectly at home in coastal waters or on inland rivers. At present she is moored on the Norfolk Broads, but can get out to sea through the lock at Great Yarmouth. Since we have owned her we have spent approx £25,000 on refurbishments and replacements as and when required. The cabins have been completely refurbished, including woodwork, carpet, wall lining, all new mattresses and upholstery, curtains and new carpet on the deck in the main cabin. There is forecabin with two single vee beds. In the main cabin the table drops down to make double bed and fixed sofa makes another single bed. There is plenty of storage under all the beds. The small galley area has cooker/grill with two-burner hob adjacent to small sink with pumped fresh water. There is new fridge installed in the wheelhouse. Also in the main cabin is small toilet/washroom/shower, with small vanity basin, cabinet with worktop and cassette toilet. The main cabin has an electric heater (240 volt) and 240 volt power socket. In addition there is also 12volt socket, and usb socket fitted above the table. Now for the technical stuff....... The boat hull is made from very thick GRP and is hard chine displacement hull with bonded frames and lockers. ENGINESShe is powered by twin Volvo Penta 'AQD32A' straight six diesel engines, both smooth-running, recently overhauled and both fitted with new alternators and relays. STERNDRIVESThe drives are Volvo Penta '270' outdrives, both fully overhauled in early 2018 and including new bellows, new anodes etc. In addition two new propellers, three blade 15/17, were fitted at the same time. STEERINGSteering is by wheel inside the wheelhouse via teleflex system. The morse engine controls were bit stiff so we replaced all the cables and the control levers, Leading to an excellent performance. The lifting tabs and trim Tabs are all working fine. ANCHORWe fitted brand new Lewmar electric anchor winch with 30 mtrs of anchore chain (in the chain locker) connected to Danforth trip anchor. This is powered by new leisure battery fitted under the Vee berths in the fore cabin. The controls are in the forward Houdini Hatch and the battery is charged from the Portside engine. FRIDGEThe fridge in the wheelhouse runs on 12 volt but as soon as the shore power is plugged in it automaticaly disconnects from the battery until shoreline is plugged in again and runs on 240 volts. LIGHTINGAll internal cabin lights are LED. SHORELINE Power Hook upThe hook up is protected by galvonic isolator and RCD consumer unit. ENGINE BAY HEATINGThis is 240 volt for use when alongside during winter months. WHEELHOUSE DOORS The rear of the wheelhouse is fitted with double glazed french doors leading to small rear deck with three seats. FUEL TANKSThere are two separate fuel tanks, one for each engine with fillers on both Port side and on Starboard side. PULPIT RAILS AND GUARD RAILSThe existing Pulpit rail is in very good condition and we have renewed all the stainless steel wires on the guard rails during 2018.
