NEW PHOTOS ADDED. Intending to create new front dash in wood and new doors for floor as sides plus apply new decals to engine sides (already obtained).
I am reluctantly selling this boat because having restored it am now unable to handle it due to health reasons so it is time to move on to different project and let someone else take it over.
I was drawn to the Picton speed boats primarily because they are reminiscent of the James Bond style speed boats and decided to re-design the interior because it didn't really have one apart from couple of old car seats!
The trailer is galvanised, the jockey wheel, winch, wheels, tyres and mudguards have all been replaced and the bearings were done couple of years ago but the boat hasn't been in the sea since. Please be aware that the original trailer was far too long for the boat (see final photos taken before the restoration) so the trailer the boat is currently sitting on and is part of this sale is the one shown in pictures which have had adjusted to precisely fit this boat. Sorry about the pictures but this is England and it is August so it just keeps raining! On top of that my drive is very cramped. Hence it almost looks better pre-restoration.
The hull is in pretty good shape for its age but does have some small spots of fibreglass crazing and some discolouration below the water line which could possibly be polished out.
The interior has been recently lined with marine grade carpet and the boat has been trimmed with 18mm routed marine grade ply held in place with removable stainless steel bolts (wing nuts on the reverse) so that they can be easily taken off for maintenance purposes.
The outboard motor is coveted two stroke Yamaha 75hp engine with electronic tllt which makes the boat fly. It has been converted to run on premixed fuel to avoid complications at sea or catastrophic engine failure.
The boat is situated just outside Devizes in Wiltshire where it can be viewed. Other boat paraphernalia available separately but the boat does come with fuel tanks, anchor, hitch lock and ropes.
Please note also have Picton 159 GTS with 75hp Mariner engine on the back also very nearly ready to go finished off to an even more premium finish (keep an eye on my "other items").
If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment to view either boat please contact Toby on 07957 357492.
