12.5' (3.8M) DoryOriginal design by Claude Doering. This boat was built as concept prototype with centre bulkhead is in two pieces allowing easier storage or transport. Life got in the way so it has never been completed now will be sold as project.Great rowing boat which can have sail as well or will make nice boat for exploring lakes rivers. As you can see from the photos the hull is essentially all there with the bulkhead in the centre partially completed. The two big lugs in the bottom lock the hull together it requires some hyfield lever type over-centre clamps or perhaps bolt together brackets at the top to hold it together. This has been tested in dam it works but some parts will need to be built. The hull is all Oregon chine logs stringers with marine ply bottom sides in Fijian Cedar veneer. The stem is in oak trim pieces breast hook knees are silky oak. The transom is in coachwood but needs second laminate due to splitting damage from weather. Internally finished in marine varnish external paint is marine gloss needs rub down recoat but the substrate is good. It’s project! great if you are looking for something to spend few hours in the shed then can enjoy with the kids or grand kids it will be fun boat when completed. will supply the plans for the hull which shows sail plan, rudder details all construction details for the hull. You could remove the centre bulkhead seat box if that was desired then make it back into one piece boat. This would require some jigging then scarfing in sections for the stringers, sheer cap external ply but is quite achievable. Comes with custom weather cover which has shrunk but will be definitely be useful as template to start from could be repaired with additions if that was preferable. Personally would use it as starting template to produce new cover. Hi folks-
I should have done thisbefore but here is few extra photos to understand how this works. The two bignylon lugs you see in the base of the front half lock into the front half ofthe rear section of the boat the idea is that you can do this in water or on landso for example in water,- stand sit  inthe rear section pull the front half towards you lining up the big nylonlugs with the SS 316 sheet metal plate in the bottom of the rear section. The lugslock into the SS then the whole thing locks together tight with anypressure on the central seat area. The seta are when complete is also watertight floatation chamber.
 
It works have done thisin the water but ideally you would do this on land before launching. The originalintent was the rear section could be used as 7ft dinghy on its own. In practiceusing the rear section only is too dicey as the hull section is too narrow atthe stern of the overall hull.
So…. In real terms it’s 13ft(3.8mt) boat you can take apart for transport or storage etc.
 
Stacked together the totalsize is 2200 1120 650 see the photos with the front in the back…
