Princess 33, have used this boat on the Norfolk broads and out into the north sea for the past years and she has never missed beat. have used her for sea fishing trips out of Great Yarmouth harbour, and have spent couple of weeks each year on longer jaunts doing all the east coast rivers the Thames as far as Putney and all the Medway and Swale area. have made few modifications over the years and updated few bits. She now has Volvo stern seals instead of the usual stuffing boxes and for the first time in 40 years have dry bilges……..this is modification will do on my next boat if not already done. The old Autohelm 6000 had mind of its own and would start to go round in circles for no apparent reason and could not keep true course even in fairly calm seas. removed the head unit and kept the drive part added remote switch on long lead and can now steer the boat from anywhere on board.Sorted the radar which had some wiring issues and that’s all up and running now.Up graded the vhf radio to one with DSC and that was great improvement.Replaced the old finger crunching anchor for modern Bruce anchor with the modified roller it is much safer and secure. The twin 80hp mermaid engines are rock solid and with the addition of electric fuel pumps are dead easy to bleed after filter changes. The pumps are only needed for this purpose but as safety addition should the mechanical lift pumps fail you can motor on at the flick of switch, another mod will include on any future boat. The boat is used all year round and with the diesel Eberspacher hot air heater you never get cold. The fridge oven and separate twin burner and grill was renewed just before bought the boat and are in very good condition.I have full rear conopy all exterior window covers and set of davits for the boat but prefer not to have them fitted, she looks much better and is little easier to handle when mooring single handed. All in all this is very fine solid and well kept boat that will be perfect for the next owner to get out on and enjoy without lots of work or worries as to what might happen. Its all been done and ready to go.BSS was done last year with only the LPG gas regulator needing to be replaced. To sum up if you have got this far…Princess 33 built 1979 twin 80hp Mermaid diesel engines, hot air diesel heating, 400 litre fuel tank twin stainless steel water tanks, stainless steel water storage tank with macerator pump and change over valve for emptying and pump out at sea.
