Avon 4.00 Typhoon Mariner 40hp
The boat is 1987 4m Avon Typhoon, made from hypalon, these boats last forever and are far superior to cheap PVC boats. This model has sectional aluminium floor with an inflatable keel. It is in excellent condition for its age. Holds air, no leaks or patches on the tubes, does not need topping up. There are some small patches on the floor but nothing major.
The engine is superb 1998 mariner 40hp, twin cylinder, shortshaft, manual start. It is very clean and original, been well looked after and has low hours. Everything works as it should do, it starts easily, usually first pull. It is very powerful engine. The prop has few dinks as have been using this in fairly shallow water recently, but it's not too bad.
It comes on lovely galvanised Bramber trailer. This had new bearings last year and sinces then has only been dunked in fresh water. The wheels and tyres are all good. And it tows very well. The trailer is about 10 years old.
This is great package, it is very versaltile. Light and easily towed behind small car, easy to manage. launch this on my own off shallow slipways. The boat is very spacious and stable, ideal for rivers, lakes and coastal waters. It is capable boat, the engine has more than enough power to plane the boat even fully loaded. It is the max rated hp for this boat, so at full throttle it is bit of beast, great fun, but beginners need to be aware of this, and it is not something to let children out it alone.
Comes with pump, oars, fuel tank.
