This is a1987 Bay Class Yachts cutter rigged sailboat. The boat was built in England andbrought here by the person who had her commissioned. The hull is made of cortensteel. Areas of the hull that had repairs were coated heavy with “Wet Dry 700”epoxy so as not to have issues again. Google “Wet Dry 700” to get info on this Kevlar reinforced epoxy. The hull is so well built everyone thinks its fiberglass. It has cylinder PhasorKubota diesel that was installed just before purchased the boat so was thefirst one to run it. It has maybe 30 hours on it and still has the break in oilin it. The boat has Hood in mast furling system. It has furling systems forboth head sails. The furling systems need to be serviced but you can sail itnow with the main sail which is up and in great shape. The head sails are alsoin great shape. It was being set up for self tending headsail which would allowthe boat to be sailed by one person and not have the need for winches. Therefore if you want to use it as cutter rig you will need to buy and install winches. The engine is running off plastic day tank with fuel filter in the engineroom being that the main tank needs to be cleaned and new filter system needsto be set up. This had not been done after the new engine was installed. Althoughit can be run under power and or main sail as it sits now it is still in theproject stages. The 110 volt AC system works but needs updating. The 12volt /24 volt system is not set up at all and needs total updating. The only 12 volt itemworking is the bilge pump and starter system for the diesel engine. Thestanchions for the lifelines were removed and holes filled but they are all inthe boat and can be installed again. It is set up for shower but waterheater needs to be installed as well as the pressure pump replaced. It is setup with pressure regulator to run hose off the dockside water. It does nothave head installed (toilet) It does not have holding tank. The largewindows in the raised salon need the glass replaced. have the rubber surroundmaterial from the manufacture to install single pane safety glass. The boat haddual pane glass to deal with the cold of England and they all have condensationin them. The other Lewmar opening portlights are ready for new seals. Theyare available. These are not cheep plastic portlights. Nothing in this boat wascheep. This is great livaboard retirement boat. It does need woodwork inside. It’s achance for the right person who can do their own work to get world classsailboat. If you don’t know how to work on boats don’t waste my time or yours. This is project sold “as is”. This is great deal for the right person tofinish while living aboard. The slip is$378 per month in sunny Florida. Its an additional $50- to live on it. Thatincludes the electric. (This is the price as write this, can’t control themarinas prices) It does have unit that does air conditioning or dehumidify mode.It is free standing air cooled unit that has been mounted and vented outside. Not conventional marine unit. This last part is in bold print so weunderstand each other. Don’t be telling me it is not as described. This is a$200,000 boat that needs the restoration finished. The starting bid is way lessthan half the price of the engine that was installed. The boat will be paid forin full before the location is given out or US Coast Guard documentation istransferred.I hope theright person gets this amazing deal. The boat slip will be paid up to the end of December. You will take over the slip rent starting Jan 2017.***No Refunds of deposit Period***Be serious and have the funds or do not bid..........Deposit must be made right away...Balance must be paid in full and USCG documents filled out and notorized before location and boat is released...
