This is the last time I'm going to list it. I've lowered the price again but if it doesn't sell this time, will just launch and slip it for the summer. It's great boat and now is the time to get into new boat with the weather finally turning! The C&C 40-2 AC tall rig is blend of speed and style that helped turn C&C Yachts into Canada's largest yacht builder. She has great lines, big cockpit, and spacious, comfortable, interior. There is plenty of room below for family cruises. This "aft cabin" version of the C&C 40-2 was designed by Robert Ball, of C&C Design and introduced in 1977. It has length overall of 39.58 ft (12.1 m), waterline length of 31.50 ft (9.6 m), displaces 17,100 lb (7,756 kg) and carries 7,910 lb (3,588 kg) of ballast. The boat has draft of 7.00 ft (2.13 m) with the standard keel. The boat is fitted with Westerbeke diesel engine. The boat has PHRF racing average handicap of 93. It has hull speed of 7.52 kn (13.93 km/h). On deck we have an open cockpit with pedestal helm, stainless steel wheel, aft bench helm seat, guest seating to each side, and under-seat storage. She comes with full complement of sails. The mast and boom are aluminum with stainless steel rigging.Below we find spacious interior. Forward is roomy v-berth with under-berth storage, rope locker, and filler cushion. The v-berth cushions have been replaced with memory foam mattress and custom bedding. Moving aft there are two hanging lockers. The salon features large settee to starboard with convertible dinette to port. Aft starboard is the galley with teak cabinets, stainless steel sink, two-burner range with oven, and ice box. Across from the galley is spacious nav station with chart table and storage. The enclosed head has vanity with sink. The aft cabin with hanging locker and small settee features double berth on the port side. It is connected to the head by door and the head has second door to the main cabin. The aft stateroom combined with the forward stateroom and main cabin births provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for six adults."At nearly 200 launched, the Rob Ball-designed C&C 40 was one of Cuthbertson and Cassian's most successful models. With beautiful spring to her sheer, rakish stem, reverse transom and rounded cabin house that gently tapers into the fore deck, the C&C 40 looks fast just sitting on her mooring. But her wolf exterior hides sheep and this one is the aft cabin version. The varnished teak interior is comfortable for boat of this size and pretty standard for those times." Andrew Burton for Cruising WorldThe 40's make very nice cruisers as well as powerful racers. There is very little exterior wood to keep you at the dock maintaining it instead of spending your time sailing cruising. The 40 was introduced in 1978 and 125 boats were built up until 1983.
