Finish building 39’ Sloop!
How would you like to have 39’ sailboat that is customized to be exactly the way you want it?  And who is better to be able to maintain it than the person who built it?  Here is your opportunity.
This is truly barn find. Work was started on this 39’ aft-cockpit fiberglass sloop in 1974 and was never finished. It is about 80% complete. It sat outside inland in dry climate for several years and has been in barn, inland, and protected from the elements for the last 15 years.
- Sitting on its engine mounts is zero-time 1976 Pisces (Isuzu) 60 HP marine diesel engine. Gauges are included.
- It has diesel fuel tanks installed.
- Keel timbers and interior deck are installed.
- All bulkheads are installed along with the mast step. Most of the electrical and plumbing has been installed.
- There are water tanks with water pump and hot water heater. The holding tank is installed along with manual pump to empty it.
- The bow and stern pulpits and stanchions are installed, and all through-hull fittings, cleats, and scuppers are installed. It has two bright bow lights and running lights. There are teak hand rails.
- The head is roughed-in and has toilet, sink, faucet, shower, and shower grate.
- The forward berth is almost done and includes headliner. There is cedar-lined hanging locker and pantry that slides into the bulkhead for the galley. teak and smoked glass forward hatch has been made but not installed.
- The ceiling is padded, and the ceiling and hull are insulated.
- The rudder and keel have been made, but not yet attached.
- The boat sits on strong, metal, adjustable height cradle that has removable wheels.
To compare the value of this opportunity, not even counting the hull and deck, all of the work that has been done, the keel, the rudder, the fuel tanks, water tanks, pulpits, through holes, and numerous other components, the value of the never been used marine diesel engine with instruments is probably about $6,500, and the cradle is about $2,500.  The sum of the parts is in excess of $12,500 not even counting the labor that has gone into it.
